Not able to meet in person for supervision? No worries. I offer Clinical Social Work Supervision remotely throughout the state of Alabama. Clinical Supervision is a huge step to make your dream become a reality and I want to make sure it is accessible to anyone who wants to put in the work. How do we do this? I have an established practice that utilizes HIPPA compliant video software (at no cost to you) to complete supervision virtually. The Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners approved for supervision to be delivered through live real time visual contact.

What Are The Social Work Supervision Requirements in Alabama?
According to the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners, if you’re a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW), you will need 24 months of supervision at a minimum rate of four (4) hours per month. Supervision must be provided by a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) working within the same agency or a LICSW with a Private Independent Practice (PIP) certification who is certified in the same practice method if coming from outside your agency. If you are an LMSW working towards the qualifications for the LICSW, you will need four (4) hours per month for 24 months. The supervision for the LICSW must come from a LICSW within the agency or a PIP who is certified in the same practice method if coming from outside your agency. For both methods, all supervision must be completed within a 36-month span.
(NOTE: If you fail to complete the 24 months of supervision within the 36-month period, supervision credit will be lost.)
I currently meet all of these requirements and am qualified to provide clinical licensure supervision for Social Workers living and working throughout the state of Alabama. I have a PIP meaning I do not have work in the same agency as you to complete your supervision! Flexible and Convenient!

I have worked as a professional in the field of Social Work since 2012. I have been very fortunate to work with many different populations from children to seniors. I have had the opportunity to work as a family preservation case manager with DHR, provide group therapy for a forensic psychiatric hospital, provide in home therapy services for foster/transitioning/recently adopted children and parents/guardians, assess and provide home studies for families who have a desire to adopt, medical social work in a infectious disease unit, clinical advisor for a top health insurance provider, and substance abuse therapist for individuals struggling with opiate addiction. Currently, I serve as adjunct professor with the social work department at The University of Alabama and am the lead therapist and CEO of Elite Counseling Center LLC.
